Saint dru

When Jesus named His disciples, He was not just randomly hand picking them. They were made disciples for a purpose. The same can be said about the young man I’m presenting today. His name is Andrew Smith aka “Saint Dru”, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He attends The New Bread of Life Church of God in Christ. He has been dropping singles into our souls since 2016. Little fun fact is... when he 1st started rapping, he called himself, “Drumatik”. Then he changed his name to Saint Dru, when he started pressing for the Lord. He says, his life’s mission is to “do The Will of God” and help others find the joy he had obtained from the Lord Jesus Christ. Reason being is, he remembers what it felt like when he was on the other side of the tracks. He says he feels his life’s calling is to help others find Christ, who may not be able to sit down and read the bible and understand the Pastor while he’s preaching from the pulpit. And that’s the reason he’s bringing straight bangers representing Gospel Enjoyment Ministries (Established since 2015). Saint Dru is at the True defense of the Gospel. For that reason, he became real in rhymes at heart; calling himself a Gospel Rapper and bearing that title proudly. He says, “There is a true difference in just being a Christian rapper and rapping for Christ.” That’s why you will hear biblical scriptures in his verses. You can definitely hear it in one of his favorite songs called, Love featuring Corey, where he says; “If God is Love, then Love is my King”. He explained, “Love rules”. His discography consist of Everything For You, Jesus Is Lord from his Born Again album, Bless My City (remix) featuring Deonte Hall and Cell Blok, an EP called Baby Steps, I’m Blessed (remix) featuring Corey (fellow Label Mate), and his most recent Perfect featuring V. Rose from his upcoming album Salvation. Some of his more popular songs that you may know him by are Save Me featuring Grammy award winner Lowell Pye (from Men of Standard), Church. As the Principal and Founder of Gospel Enjoyment Ministries, he believes this, “The world is in a state of peril. Our goal is to reach the world through the enjoyment of the Gospel. Above all things, it is our belief that before anything else, souls should be saved.” Gospel Enjoyment Ministries is an Independent Label. Saint Dru has been heard all around the world, he’s even been asked to showcase his talents for God, in Spain. I truly believe this young man has God on His Heart, and carries Christ on his back. J.I.M.S is an acronym that stands for Jesus Is My Savior. JIMS is a gospel hip hop artist born and raised in Queens and Brooklyn New York. He looks at his music as a way to testify about the goodness of his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Revelations 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” is the scripture he stands on, for the word is his rock and it is what his ministry/music is built on.

JIMS is currently performing his hit new single “LOVE” May 12 at the Mc Donald’s 2018 gospel fest produced and directed by A. Curtis Farrow. Opening for gospel super stars Vashawn Mitchell, Cissy Houston “The Duchess Of Gospel”, Le’Andria Johnson, Bishop Hezekiah Walker & LFC, Jekalyn Carr, Melba Moore and Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson. J.I.M.S grew up in South Jamaica Queens and Bedstuy Brooklyn New York. Life wasn’t easy for him and he wasn’t always saved, and at a young age he joined the Blood gang. The lifestyle of fast money, violence, and drugs led to a destructive life that consequently led him to prison at the age of 18. J.I.M.S was facing 3 years to life in maximum security prison. That same year his father passed away from AIDS he took it very hard, but before his father passed To God be the Glory his father accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. J.I.M.S at that time still didn’t change his life, he considered himself a 5%, which is a group that believes that the black man is god. His exact words are “the devil had me fooled into believing a lie but thank God He chose me and loved me when I didn’t Love myself or Him”. At the age of 30 J.I.M.S accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and never looked back. God has blessed him with his own ministry; Covered By The Blood Ministries, where he teaches youth to stay away from gangs. Provides clothing and food to the community and does street evangelism, which is his third love behind God and his family. J.I.M.S mission is to spread the full gospel through hip hop, to reach the masses that have been over looked, and to show that God’s love is real. In his new single LOVE J.I.M.S said “Sitting in my room starring at the wall I heard the Holy Ghost call” this line shows he believes that we need to open our ears and hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. Repent and turn away from our sinful ways so we can have life and have it more abundantly.   J.I.M.S
